Dear Family, Don't know why today is a Laurie Anderson type of day as I have not heard many of these songs in many moons. Having had the experience of seeing Laurie Anderson live, must share her with you if you do not know! I believe that Laurie Anderson is one of the most important and forgotten artists of our time, and I am doing my part today to put her music back on everyone's mind and on their computers.

So inspired today by Barbara Tucker’s interactions with her fans on Facebook which she does on a regular basis, your dj must now share her music for the unfamiliar.  Her song “Beautiful People” has sent me on many inward journeys and “I Get Lifted” is an instant pick-me-up to my soul; however, now she is sharing her uplifting words on her Facebook page and it is truly a blessing.  Most of the time Barbara Tucker is in rotation in Funk Sanctum Radio and do not expect that to change.  Every time I hear her, she takes me higher and lifts me immediately.  Better than prescription medication, the antidote for a dreary day or oppressive surroundings, Barbara Tucker will make you feel better and maybe help put life into perspective.  Life is hard, but Barbara Tucker’s voice makes it easier to do “hard.”

Office Etiquette -- My Conundrum

This post is my therapy for today and maybe will not get published, but I feel the need to write and sort my feelings because of recent extreme rude behavior of my co-workers thereby temporarily putting aside my promise  to keep this blog focus on positive topics as there already is enough negativity amplified in our world.

My profession is typist/word processor and I am a world-class typist.  It is my God-given talent and gift, and I am grateful. However, the world does not look upon my talent with any particular favor not to mention pay-wise. I do not get any respect from most of my coworkers and I recognize this as ignorance, jealousy and hate, but how do I cope on a daily basis?  Today I am writing about it.
