This is one of the amazing paintings I own by my friend, Judith Alcarez, native of Boston, MA. Her last-known location is Hot Springs, CO. Am posting this because we have been friends since 1971 but at the present time her whereabouts are unknown to me. As she is probably the last person on the planet to use a computer, am posting this in hopes of getting Judith Marie Alcarez’ art on the Internet so that if and when she does sign onto a computer, she will see this post and know how much she is missed, loved and her artwork adored.
Loving this tune, and I think that you will enjoy the video! The 4:20 Remix by Rise Ashen is now in rotation in Funk Sanctum Radio as well!

Northern Faction 5 takes a dubwise dive across both Canadian and global culture. Full on reggae and dubstep breathe deeply alongside nu jazz and fractured beats while telling a story of hope in a corrupted world. Rich and complex, this compilation may require several listens to fully digest. Fresh Canadian beats are featured from Juno Award winners Dubmatix and Kellylee Evans as well as recent nominee Rise Ashen. Northern Faction 5 brings together the best from Canada's conscious dancefloor producers, including Citizen Sound feat Ammoye, Lotek & Demus J, Hitori Tori, Earlyworm, Rcola, Katalyst 5 in collaboration with Rise Ashen as well as tracks from Redworm, Nate Wize and Version Xcursion. Northern Faction 5 also features contributions from the UK's Richie Phoe, Amsterdam's Process Rebel, South Africa's 7FT Soundsystem, New York's J57 and Subatomic Sound System and San Diego's Tranzformer. Balanced's central agency is represented by Billy Rockwell, The Seed Organization and Kasm.
Going to the countryside today, so quick post sharing Video of my favorite jazz pianist, none other than McCoy Tyner playing with Gary Bartz another favorite. McCoy Tyner and Gary Bartz' albums were tops in my personal collection at one time, seemingly lifetimes ago, and so grateful these Masters are still with us. Have a glorious weekend, Family.

My drive to work in Downtown L.A. had this BIG surprise. Yes, up and on it at 5:35 a.m., today. These giant pictures were not here yesterday. Amazing how fast these go up. Is this because the Oscars are coming to Los Angeles? Who is this robed person? Time for me to go find out who is nominated, but you have probably already picked the winners.
