MoBlack - "Freedom" - Tribute to Kwame Nkrumah

"Freedom" is from Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's speech for Independence from the United Kingdom declared on 6th of March 1957. It is a tribute to Kwame Nkrumah the first President of Ghana and the first Prime Minister of Ghana.  I am grateful that I discovered this song today on the actual anniversary of Ghana's freedom -- March 6, 1957

"I am an African, not because I was born in Africa, but because Africa is born in me."  --
Kwame Nkrumah

Mimmo Falcone moved from Naples, south Italy to the south of the world, Ghana, Africa. He has blended two heritages of the universal language of music. Mimmo Falcone is a dj and a producer, a creative spirit and a musician since his early teenage years. In 2003, he moved to the west side of Central Africa, in Ghana, as managing director of a food processing company. On the coasts of the Gulf of Guinea, he played and produced his deep house, mixing it with the heritage of the local and more traditional sounds and giving birth to a new project: MoBlack. In Twi, the major language spoken in Ghana, Mo means “good Job” as it stands for “moda,” the Italian word for fashion and as Mo, the initial of his last name. MoBlack wants to celebrate and promote the beauty of Africa through music, art and fashion. Since his arrival in Africa, Mimmo Falcone has played and shared his faith in sound with local artists.
